Moderator activity for the past 3 months: the weekly plots show 13 weeks, the daily plots the last 3 weeks. With Group 'All', the plots show touches across arXiv, stacked by subject group; select a group (and optionally an archive) to show one plot per category, split by moderator. Within physics, selecting the archive as 'All' displays all top-level categories (like hep-lat and nucl-ex). Click and drag to zoom to a specific plot area; double-click to return to the original view. Double-click on a moderator's handle (or a group) in the legend to isolate its activity.
The grey lines count holds, on the same scale as the touches: the holds open on each day (on the weekly plots, at the start of each week), and those of them placed more than 14 and more than 28 days earlier. They count holds in the category (across arXiv, in every category), by the submission's primary category. They have a legend of their own, below the plot (the moderators' or groups' legend is above it), so isolating a moderator or group leaves them drawn; click a line's entry there to hide or show it, or double-click it to show that line alone.
Above each row, the holds status gives the holds open now and two trends, counting all open holds of any age: the mean number of holds open per day over the last 30 days against the mean over the 3 months before them (Monthly), and over the last 7 days against the 3 weeks before them (Weekly). +25% means a quarter more holds open lately than before; a change of more than 15% is coloured, warm for growth and cool for a fall, darker for a change of 50% or more. "New" marks holds where there were none before. Sort the category rows by name (A to Z first), by current holds or by either trend (largest first); click the chosen option again to reverse it. The fastest-growing backlogs come first by default, and categories without data come last either way.
Note that moderator touch counts may cross categories, so if a user moderates for more than one category, their activity may be over-represented; likewise, across arXiv, a moderator's touches count toward every group they moderate in. If a moderator has retired, their actions might not be shown. Moderator touches include leaving comments, responding to category proposals, and viewing/opening PDF/checkmarking submissions in arXiv Check. Data from 10 December 2024 is omitted due to database errors.
